Dashe Syuanwu Local Cultural Museum

Dashe Village is situated in the eastern suburbs of Sinshih District and located in the Jianan Plains. The settlement was established very early and served as the headquarters of the Siraya people (Pingpu indigenous tribe) of Singang She, giving rise to the name of Dashe (Great Settlement). Dashe Local Cultural Museum is an establishment that in- tegrates traditional temples and upright religious faith to promote folk and cultural art. It is currently the largest religious center of Sinshih District with over 4000 ping (13,223 square meters or 142,333 square feet) of land devoted to the theme of Syuanwu (the black turtle). In addition to its collection of ancient artifacts related to Syuanwu, the ar- ea also includes attractions such as Longlinhe (core of the dragon scale), Shangdi Gongyin (Official Seal of the High Emperor), Nisu Jinzun (holy image of clay), and Cisingshideng (stone lamp of the seven stars), each artifact having its own legendary tale.
