Daoye Lake is where Daoye was once located and a place where people could watch egrets and other waterfowls. A bird watching wall has been erected near the bank, while the shallow and emerging aquatic plants provide shelters where birds playfully interact with one another. The Lake is also a home to a rich diversity of insect species. A special mushroom shaped water tower is also located nearby, giving a delightful impression that a flying saucer from outer space has descended upon the Southern Taiwan Science Park.
