Sising Beijidian (North Pole Temple of Sising) was originally known as Siazhuwei Fudesi (Temple of Fude at Siazhuwei). During the early Republican times, the temple was converted to Beijidian dedicated to the worship of three Syuantian Shangdi (High Emperor of the Mysterious Heavens). The modern Sising Beijidian is now blessed with an all-new appearance inspired by traditional Tainan architectural elements. The Temple now has majestic exteriors as well as exquisite interior furnishings that include grand gold-decorated divinity tables, gilded wooden carvings, and a Yusu Shihsiang plaque displayed in the main hall that all add to the gravity of the temple atmosphere. The benevolent image of Syuantian Shangdi (High Emperor of the Mysterious Heavens) was crafted from a thousand-year-old camphor burl, a most rare and valuable wooden material that could have only appeared as a result of divine miracle, showing the careful se- lection of materials for crafting the seat of the High Emperor. The front courtyard serves as a simple sports plaza for fellow residents to partake in various sports. The Banyan tree in front of the temple is also the best place for residents to gather and discuss various topics after work or temple festivals.
